- Henry David Thoreau

To
report a completion of the Grand Enchantment Trail and
have your name added to the 700 Milers' List, fill out
and submit the form below, including the type of trip
(thru-hike [bike, horse trip, etc.] or series of section
hikes) and the year (or years) during which your hike
occurred. Feel free to include additional information
about your hike, such as the season and direction of travel,
start/finish dates, and any observations or insights regarding
your experience. Links to photos and journal entries that
reflect on your time along the G.E.T. are also welcome.
(Standards
for qualification: A trail completion means the hiker
has walked the entire 700+ mile distance between the G.E.T.'s
termini at Phoenix and Albuquerque, following the suggested
(primary) trail route, and/or its alternate routes or
those of the hiker's own making. Exceptions are granted,
within reason, in the event that a small section or sections
of the route were closed to travel - by official order
or natural circumstances - at the time of the hiker's
arrival, thereby compelling the hiker, in the interest
of safety or prudence and after exhausting all reasonable
alternatives, to detour by vehicle or otherwise "skip"
such sections.)
